Haul: L'oreal HiP Eyeshadow & Eyeliner(s)

Hello once I have a haul. This was done a while back but I found the pictures on my camera so I thought I would show you guys about the products pictures. I have to admit...... I heart L'oreal HIP cosmetics line. I truly do! It started with the lip glosses a couple of years ago. Then I moved to the eyeliner, shadows, foundation, etc. And before I knew it  I pretty much had EVERYTHING I could get my hands on from the line. In a lot of the reviews it gets compared to MAC. Now, I know that is a very large Prada bag to fill. But let me tell you ladies the hype & reviews are T.R.U.E!! The color(s) don't fade, the color pay off is great. No matter what tone you are it does not fade. You can ALWAYS find a sale on HIP at the drug stores(s). Buy one get half off, or my favorite buy one get one FREE!! And for a product junkie that is the best time to get some and try it out. So what are you wait for next time you see a HIP sale give it try. I am very sure that you to will become a HIP product junkie like I am. And fall in love with this wonderful also.  Until next time enjoy......

Random Tips # 2

I have some more tips for you all to enjoy....

~ Use a flat iron (yes, the one that you use on your hair) set high to smooth out hemlines, pockets, and the
spaces in between buttons on shirts.

~ Use a pumice stone (again, yes the very same that you would use on your feet.) to de-pill you sweater(s).
Lightly rubbing it over the garment removes pills and fuzz; just be sure the knit is substantial, not delicate  or thin.

~ To get rid of musty smells or unwanted wrinkles out leather, iron them out. Set the iron to medium/high heat
and cut up a plain brown paper bag in oversize squares. Place the leather item on the ironing board, put
the paper on top of the area you are working on, and gently iron it, being careful not to burn through the paper.

~ You can use plain, unscented body lotion as a leather conditioner to hide scuffs and light scratches.
Inexpensive drugstore brands- like Lubriderm- work really well.

Quick Fix

Have you ever had one of your favorite eye shadows or blush(s) fall out it's compact?  You had no idea how to make it stay, right? Well let me share my tip with you. I had this happen to me and I was not about to throw out the eyeshadow (or deal with the hassle of going back to the store to exchange it).  One I was in Office Depot and I saw this foaming tape and I thought that would work. Ladies, let me tell it worked out great! I purchased the Scotch Foam Mounting Squares for under $4.00. I just cut the size I need, place it at the bottom of the container and press the loose eye shadow (or blush) back into place. Be careful when you press it back. You want to make sure that you don't break you product. I get to keep my make-up in the proper compact and no more worries! So if this ever happens to you remember this tip. Until next time...

A Cheap Foundation Primer

Do you use liquid foundation? Mineral foundation? Cream-To-Powder foundation? If you use 'any' foundation this info will have you jumping for joy. Let me ask another question do you use foundation primer? If you have no idea what it let me explain it you. You know when you paint your nails. You would use a base coat before you apply the color to your nails, right? If you were to just apply the color directly to your nails it may not come out as smooth and pretty. That is exactly what foundation primer does but it's for your face. You are to use it after you have applied your face moisturizer which should have an SPF ;). This is when you would apply the foundation primer. BEFORE YOU APPLY ANY MAKE-UP.
There are so many foundations primer on the market to from so many wonderful companies to choose from. Smashbox, Ulta, Laura Mercier, MAC, Rimmel,  and the list goes on. It's really not uncommon for a foundation primer to cost in the range of $10.00-$40.00. Now I have found an alternative that is cheaper. It is (drum roll please...) Monistat Smoothing Care Chafing Relief Powder-Gel!! Yes, you did read that correctly! It has most of the same ingredients in it that primers do! Plus, it works! You can find it in drug stores and mass chain store(Target and Wal-mart)  Let me tell you one thing... THIS WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE in how the rest of your make-up goes on and stays on all day. The foundation that you apply will be really nice and even. I have VERY oily skin so when I don't use a foundation primer it breaks up my make-up during the day very quickly. With the primer on my face; my make-up will stay for the better part of the day. So what are you waiting for give it try. Until next time....

Random Tips #1

So I have been going through my magazine stack. I have so many magazine(s) it's a shame. But I am not giving them up! (you know the newspaper/magazine stands? I could open one of those with all the magazines I have LOL). Okay I started thinking about some of the things that I do to try and be more eco-friendly in my daily life. Which I thought you would like to know about. Getting rid of old stuff so that I no longer need. As a PJ getting stuff out of the way will mean more new stuff can come in! Here are some tips that I use that I hope you will useful as well. Enjoy.......

~ Save energy by charging small electronics in your car instead of using wall outlets.
~ Trim the wicks of candles and refrigerate them an hour before use to increase their burn time.
~ Air out clothes fresh from the dry cleaner by hanging them outside for a day to avoid tracking chemicals inside your home.
***These tips courtesy and provide by InStyle Magazine October 2009****

~ One of personal favorite faves is to recycle your magazines once you are done with using them. (Donate them to a Doctors Office, Hair Salon, etc.)
